The Traditional Shotokan Karate Federation Australia is a not-for-profit organisation, teaching Shotokan Karate through over 30 Dojos across Australia. TSKFA instructors follow the original teachings of the Shotokan founder Gichin Funakoshi and the late Master Masatoshi Nakayama.
TSKFA truly believes that the #1 principle “Never forget that karate begins and ends with respect” should always be followed. We promote strong moral principles, traditional etiquette and the encouragement of goodwill and harmony among all karateka. You can view the National website here.
We train Mondays and Tuesdays from 6pm till 8pm at Tyalla Public School in Coffs Harbour.

I am currently the Dojo Head of TSKF Coffs Harbour and work as part of a fantastic team to teach and learn Traditional Shotokan as per the teachings of Shunsuke Takahashi Shihan OAM.
I have been training for over 20 years in a variety of martial arts focusing on traditional Karate, receiving the rank of Yondan (4th dan).
I enjoy pulling Karate apart and applying the various aspects to more practical scenarios while still honouring the traditional side.
